The Association of the Bulgarian Community in Medway is a charity, founded in April 2010 to bring together the Bulgarian people living in the Medway towns and across Kent with the aim of improving integration with the wider community. The Association is registered with the Charity Commission - charity registration number: 1151138


The Association offers its members the following regular classes, every Saturday, term time:


Bulgarian school for children - offering classes in Bulgarian history and language

English language class for adults - intermediate level

English language class for adults - beginners level

English and homework class for children who speak English as a second language

Folk dancing group Kitka for adults

Dance classes for children

Bulgarian choir


The Association also organises fund raising events, local ethnographic exhibitions and concerts, celebrations of Bulgarian national holidays, collection and donation of Bulgarian language books for local libraries.
